The first EXPO experience for me and I was so nervous….
The Ramada formerly know as The Sullivan hosted a bridal expo on Sunday March, 19th. I admit that if it had to by my first expo experience, I’m glad it was with the staff at Resnicks. Participating in a bridal expo had always been something I knew needed to be done. The Hudson Valley is growing at a time when the Casino’s are finally becoming a reality. Making this an exciting time in the Catskill Mountains. We are all eager to get our selves out there and promote what we love.
Being a creative wedding photographer takes practice and precedence.
I believe that you have to first decide who you want to be as a photographer… I used to think that selling myself as the jack of trades and master of none was the key to a promising career in photography. I’ve also decided for myself that there is no right or wrong answer for anyone, we can only choose that for ourselves. The route I’ve chosen to take for my career path is to hone my skills in the kind of niche I am passionate about and designing a brand.
It doesn’t just stop there. I am still looking for ways to evolve my booth into something unique and sound for future expo events… I want to create a feeling when brides walk over to my booth. It still boils down to facing that fear and not being afraid to “not give a hoot” what anyone else thinks…
